DAVID RAY  MBA

Mr. Ray leads a team of qualified individuals focused on developing analysis to support academic, administrative, and strategic planning functions. In this role, Mr. Ray led a successful conversion of the student information system to a new platform, CampusVue, which fully integrates all College activities to enhance student services and provide consistent, reliable real-time information to students, faculty, and staff. Since joining the Galen team in 2007, Mr. Ray also has served as Vice President of Finance (2007-2009), Chief Operating Officer (2009-2011), and Vice President of Institutional Planning and Analysis. As part of a collaborative team, Mr. Ray helped to drive the creation of Galen’s current mission statement and strategic plan.
Mr. Ray is a CPA with Big 4 experience and worked in several senior financial leadership roles across a variety of institutions before coming to Galen. He was Manager of Strategic Planning for Lexmark International, a Fortune 500 publicly traded company, and was Regional Controller for 5 years at Constellation Energy, a Fortune 200 Company. His background includes experience in strategic planning, information systems, leadership, and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Ray is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration.
Mr. Ray served as Treasurer for Centerstone of Kentucky, a non-profit behavioral health organization serving more than 34,000 people annually in its 31 locations. Centerstone of Kentucky is the largest affiliate of Centerstone, one of the nation’s largest nonprofit providers of behavioral healthcare. Each year Centerstone serves more than 150,000 people of all ages at 211 locations across five states.
