QUALITY ENHANCEMENT PLAN (QEP)

As part of our accreditation through SACSCOC, Galen College of Nursing launched our Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), called Galen Pathway to Success (GPS) – in January 2018. GPS is a five-year plan, designed to enhance the environment supporting student learning. GPS focuses on early program success by creating a systematic program of support to help new students get the right start during their first two quarters as Galen students, setting them up for long-term success and graduation.

We are committed to the success of our students in their educational journeys and our QEP is one more way in which we will devote critical energy and resources, not just to teaching, but to supporting our students on the pathway to nursing.

New resources, brought to you by the QEP, rolled out in July 2018. Galen College students received access to Grammarly®, an online tool that scans text for common and complex grammatical mistakes. Students may create a free account using their Galen College email address, to help make sure their writing is clear, effective, and mistake-free. We’re pleased to offer this resource as part of the Galen Pathway to Success.

Galen College of Nursing (Galen) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, baccalaureate, and master’s degrees. Galen consists of a Main Campus located in Kentucky and off-campus instructional sites in Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Branch campus accreditation is dependent upon the continued accreditation of the Main Campus.
