Matt Sheehan currently serves Galen as Regional Director of Campus Operations. In his expanded role, Matt will retain oversight of online operations, as well as assuming leadership of the Virtual Campus. A dynamic, results-focused operations director respected for more than 15 years, Matt joined Galen in 2017 as the leader of operations in San Antonio. He transitioned to the online team in March 2021, to oversee significant enrollment growth during his tenure in both roles. His prior experience in the hospitality industry has been evident in his focus to provide a customer-focused approach to supporting our students and employees.

Prior to Galen, Matt was an Administrative Programs Coordinator for the Farmers Ranchers Cooperative Association of Ainsworth where he collaborated with operations for cross-functional teams, guiding 70+ staff in the customer service, human resources, training, public relations, marketing, compliance, safety, and IT departments. He strategically coordinated and mobilized operational improvement projects, including the implementation of a $2M feed load out bay, a $4M agronomy dry shed, new VOIP phone and CRM systems, and a new active directory server. In addition, Matt designed and conducted orientation and training programs for all employees to seamlessly onboard new staff, reducing assimilation time and improving retention.
